3 Must Know Tips Before Staying at Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta!
Welcome to day 3 of our family’s travel blog. Join us on our exciting adventure through Tokyo Disney Japan, Seoul South Korea, and Taipei Taiwan! If you are new to our site, make sure to catch up on our previous posts like This is how our 1st day went for our 16 day Japan, South Korea, Taiwan Trip! or Top 3 Rides for Toddlers at Tokyo Disneyland. On day 2 our our trip, we had an absolute blast exploring Disneyland Tokyo, and today, we’re off to DisneySea to immerse ourselves in even more Disney magic! DisneySea, nestled within Tokyo Disney Resort, is a one-of-a-kind theme park brimming with maritime wonders and enchanting adventures. From exploring seven uniquely themed ports to experiencing thrilling attractions and indulging in delectable cuisine from around the world, DisneySea promises a magical journey unlike any other. With its immersive storytelling and stunning landscapes, this maritime-inspired park offers endless opportunities for unforgettable moments and cherished memories for visitors of all ages. To top off the magic, we were lucky enough to book a 1 night stay at Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta for third night in Japan. But before we dive into our day, let’s share three helpful tips that might not be on everyone’s radar when staying at Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta.
Tip 1: Seamless Baggage Transfer
First off, let’s talk about the convenience of transferring between Disney hotels. We stayed at Disney Ambassador for the first two nights, which is super close to Ikspiari Mall, the Resort Gateway Disney tram, and Maihama train station. This made getting in and out of the Disney area a breeze. However, to fully experience DisneySea, we booked a night at Tokyo DisneySea Hotel MiraCosta. Why? MiraCosta is the only Disney hotel in the world that is located right in the Disney park. Picture yourself waking up to views of the enchanting Tokyo DisneySea theme park right outside your window! How cool is that? Plus, you’re just steps away from all the fun. Back to the tip, we had our day set to visit DisneySea early. However, what do we do with our bags? Luckily, Tokyo’s Disney resorts offers a complimentary baggage delivery service between Disney hotels, making the transition seamless. Just let the front desk know in advance, leave your bags in the room on check-out day, and voila! Your bags will be waiting for you at your new hotel when you’re ready to check in. It’s hassle-free and ensures you can focus on enjoying the parks without lugging around your luggage.
Tip 2: Stock Up on Snacks and Food
Now, onto our second tip: stocking up on snacks and food. While DisneySea offers plenty of delicious treats, if you’re craving something different or less Disney-fied, consider grabbing snacks from Ikspiari shopping center the night before. MiraCosta hotel is a bit secluded with limited dining options, so having some extra snacks on hand can be a lifesaver, especially for late-night cravings or quick breakfasts. MiraCosta’s MickeyAngelo Gifts is an onsite gift slash convenience store, however, it can become extremely busy and crowded due to many guest not being prepared for how secluded the hotel actually is. Additionally, the store does not open until 8 am, which means you won’t be able to get any grab and go breakfast for us early risers.
Tip 3: Leveraging Happy Entry
Last but not least, let’s talk about the Happy Entry perk available at DisneySea for guests staying at MiraCosta. This hotel is uniquely situated within the park and offers its own private entrance. However, keep in mind that during the park’s opening hour, you won’t be able to use the Happy Entry privilege at the private entrance. Instead, you’ll need to walk to the main entrance of the park and join the Happy Entry line. It’s a simple walk, but if you have a stroller, be prepared to navigate around a bit. You’ll need to walk across the overpass to the Disney tram, then walk around the lines to to the Happy Entry line (think of it as a big U turn). Also, not all Disney hotels offer Happy Entry to DisneySea. Tokyo Disney Celebration and Tokyo Toy Story Hotel currently do not offer Happy Entry to DisneySea, so be sure to plan your stay accordingly!
Phew, that was a lot of helpful info! Stay tuned for more details about our day at DisneySea in our next post. Happy travels!
