How we plan on getting from Haneda Airport to Disney Ambassador Hotel? Airport Limousine Bus!
Hello everyone! If you have been following along with our blog, you know that we have booked our flight, hotel, and eSIM for Tokyo Disney, Seoul, and Taipei. However, there a lot more logistics that needs to happen beforehand. The one big one is how to travel to and from our hotel to the airport! To make the start of our trip as smooth as possible, we’ll be riding in style aboard the Airport Limousine Bus Haneda Tokyo airport to Tokyo Disney!
The Basics: What is a Limousine Bus?
Before we dive into our planned transport, let’s get the basics down. A limousine bus is a special type of service commonly used for transportation between airports and hotels. In Tokyo, these buses are operated by Airport Transport Service Co., Ltd. From our recent experience utilizing their service in May, the beauty of these buses lies in their convenience, which made our journey from Haneda Airport to Tokyo Disney Resort area a breeze.
Schedule and Reservations
We will be landing at Haneda Airport’s Terminal 3 at around 2pm JST and the next departure from Terminal 3 is at 3:50pm JST. However, for Terminal 1 and 2, the service operates like clockwork between 8:00 am and 11:00 am – the busiest hours for travelers. During this time, the buses run at 10-minute intervals, ensuring you won’t have to wait too long. Depending on how long it take us to get to the bus stop, we can take the 3:50pm JST bus or hop on the free airport shuttle to Terminal 1 or 2.
As for departing from our hotel to Haneda airport, the bus stop is right in front of Tokyo Disney Ambassador Hotel. Therefore, we plan on leaving the same way we arrived with the Airport Transport Service Co., Ltd. .
Tip: While you can hop on without a reservation, we recommend booking in advance, especially during peak travel seasons like summer, Golden Week, or Halloween. Phone reservations (Phone number: 03-3665-7220) are accepted up to the day before your travel date between 9am to 6pm PST, so keep that in mind.
The final ride from Haneda Airport to Disneyland departs at 7 pm for Terminal 2 and 7:05 pm for Terminal 1.
Fare and Travel Time
The fare for this enchanting journey is just 1000 yen ($6.69 USD) for adults and 500 yen ($3.34 USD) for children (ages 6 to under 12). Even the little ones under 6 who use a seat will be charged the child fare. On our prior trip, we opted to purchase tickets for our little ones and will probably do so on this trip. If you did not reserve your tickets ahead of time, you can easily do so at the bus ticketing kiosk. The kiosk had English translation and an attendant to assist you in booking. The journey typically takes about 50 minutes, giving us ample time to get excited about all the Disney magic awaiting us!
Luggage and Comfort
Now, the good stuff! The biggest perk to know that the limousine bus offers a smooth and comfortable ride, even if we have bulky luggage like suitcases or strollers! We can stow up to two pieces of luggage per person in the trunk room, as long as they don’t exceed 50 x 60 x 120 cm and weigh no more than 30 kg each. The attendant prior to boarding, gave us luggage tags for each item. All we needed to do is fold down our strollers and tag them. The attendant will store in their storage component. This took a huge load off our mind. Once on board, its opening seating, and during our last ride there were plenty of space.
Potential Hiccups and How to Avoid Them
Of course, like any journey, there are a few things to keep in mind. During busy times, such as those summer days and special occasions like Golden Week and Halloween, the buses can fill up fast. If you haven’t reserved your seats in advance, you might find yourself waiting an hour or more.
Pro Tip: To ensure you don’t miss your magical ride, make sure to leave some buffer time between your flight’s arrival and your bus schedule. And remember, even with reservations, seat assignments aren’t available. So if you’re traveling with family or friends, especially those with small children, be aware that you might not sit together.
